The Minister of Territorial Administration Atanga Nji Paul and the Minister of Public Works Nganou Djoumessi upon the high instructions of the Head of State are in Maroua, Far North Region this November 28, 2020, the second visit after some weeks ago. After their welcome at the airport by the Governor of the Far North Region they visited the Palar Bridge where works

have began for a deviation access road. According to the Minister of Public Works the construction phase has been shortened to 45 days instead of 3 months as previewed by the technical team. Meanwhile the Palar Bridge which collapsed due to heavy rains and flooding will be rebuilt to reflect our times into a modern structure as reiterated by the Minister of Public Works.

Later in the day the MINAT boss held a security and evaluation meeting with administrative and security officials at the governors office in Maroua. In his preliminary statement Minister Atanga Nji came back on the visit with MINTP. Concerning the security meeting the Minister mentioned that it is based on the preparations of upcoming regional elections to verify the material and security aspects. Furthermore, to sensitize bike riders on their identification process and the need for them to be law abiding. The comprehensive report to be sent to the Prime Minister and Head of State President Paul Biya will also include an evaluation of the execution of development projects in the region. The administrative authorities and forces of law and order as well as the population received the congratulations of President Paul Biya through the MINAT especially in keeping in check Boko Haram.
