The Minister of Territorial Administration, Atanga Nji Paul, has called on the administrative and security forces of the region to continue to work in synergy on intelligence sharing between security forces, administrators and the population to fight against crime as well as efforts made by vigilante groups.

Everything is being made to put life back to normal according to reports from the governor as the Boko Haram insurgency is quickly dying down'. Minister Atanga Nji added, 'Schools are gradually resuming in some areas. Meanwhile, abandoned projects have resumed as effective, works are going on for example at the Mizao bridge, as instructed by the Head of State'. He continued that globally there is need for joint efforts from all parties and their watchword should be vigilance.The security meeting is coming at the heels of the signing of the tripartite agreement between the government of Cameroon and Nigeria for the voluntary repatriation of 5000 refugees at the Minawao camp, the presence of the governor of Borno State also permitted the public officials to discuss issues on trans-border crimes. The meeting is holding on the instruction of the Head of State. It is coming just after the commissioning of the five newly appointed Senior Divisional Officers in the region.
