Seven candles representing each of the children killed placed in front of their classrooms their names, ages and bible verses

The Minat boss accompanied by the Governor of the South West Region alongside administrative and security officials paid homage to the slain students on November 2, 2020. This was the second visit of the Minat boss to Kumba after the incident with messages of condolence and assistance from President Paul Biya who declared a day of National mourning on October 31, 2020, for the Victims of the terrorist attack on Mother Francisca International Bilingual Academy, Fiango Kumba. The incident took place on October 24, 2020 by terrorists, leaving 7 dead and over a dozen seriously injured.

Regarding the other wounded students, Minister Atanga Nji reassured the parents and Hospital Authorities at the Buea District Hospital and the Douala General Hospital respectively where he went to see the progress of the kids receiving treatment that their medical bills are being covered by the government. Official burial was scheduled for November 5, 2020 at the Kumba Amusement Park presided by the Prime Minister envoy of the Head of State.
