MINAT RECEIVED IN AUDIENCE UN RESIDENT COORDINATOR IN CAMEROON

The Minister of Territorial Administration Atanga Nji Paul, received in audience the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator Matthias Z. Naab along side Carla Martinez and Rosy Etoundi Ntsama all members of the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA)  on February 24, 2021.

The UN coordinator told the press after their discussions that he came to get the Minister's advice and guidance on the Humanitarian Response Plan that would be lunched in the next fourteen days. The UN coordinator equally used the occasion to brief MINAT on his visit and impression on the refugees situation from Central Africa Republic in the East region of Cameroon. The  audience was also an opportunity for Matthias Z. Naab to express gratitude to the Cameroonians for their hospitality to the CAR refugees. Minister Atanga Nji's guest  announced at the end of the audience that the UN humanitarian country team is working very closely with government to see how they can respond briefly and quickly to the needs of the refugees and host community.
