137TH INTERNATIONAL LABOUR DAY: MINAT STAFF EDUCATED ON WORK ENVIRONMENT.

As part of commemorative activities of the International Labour Day, staff of the Ministry of Territorial Administration MINAT, have been educated on the rights, duties and requirements of workers.  This was during a workshop on April 28th, 2023, coordinated by Mr. Kaldoussa Faissan, Director of Human Resources at MINAT, during which the Inspector of Labour at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security Madam Ekwessa Elvine Mireille epse Nkouamo, was the resource person. The educative talk centred on the theme « Acting together in the world of work to improve living conditions and social inclusion » The resource person educated personnel of MINAT on the pillars of work, resilience at work, social protection, respect of authority and decency at work. She told workers to demonstrate decency through effective presence at work making sure they do their assignments. She also spoke on the importance of a healthy environment at work including the availability of comfortable seats, working space and mutual respect. She called on chiefs to encourage workers. She also spoke on the importance of enjoying all the benefits of social protection, the need for workers to rest and to take leave as stated in the labour code.
