The Minister of Territorial Administration, Atanga Nji Paul, has closed the second bi-annual conference of governors this November 26, 2025, urging stronger vigilance and firm respect for republican values in the post-election context. He reaffirmed that Cameroon remains stable and firmly on course under the leadership of President Paul Biya, whose vision of “Grandeur and Espérance” continues to guide the nation. MINAT boss condemned the failed insurrection planned by the defeated candidate and warned that all individuals, political parties, NGOs and media actors involved in the violent post-election unrest will answer before the law. He saluted the professionalism of defence and security forces.
The Minister instructed Governors to:
secure the upcoming 30 November regional elections,
reinforce vigilance committees,
combat drug abuse, terrorism and urban disorder,
and ensure continuous communication with the population.
Minister Atanga Nji reminded political actors that multipartism exists to build, not sabotage, the Republic and urged all citizens to promote unity, stability and peaceful coexistence.
