The Minister of Territorial Administration, Atanga Nji Paul, on April 5th, 2024, represented the head of state at a Muslim come together for the collective breaking of the fasting period ahead of the Feast of Ramadan. Prayers, sharing of a common meal graced the occasion.

Organised by the Council of Imams and Muslim Dignitaries of Cameroon (CIDIMUC), it took place at the National Museum in Yaounde and had the presence of government officials, diplomats and administrative authorities. Among the personalities present were the Minister of Arts and Culture, Bidoung Mkpatt and the Apostolic Nuncio to Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea, His Excellency José Avelino Bettencourt the Governor of the Centre Region, Naseri Paul Bea.  In his welcome address Dr. Moussa, General Coordinator of CIDIMUC, expressed gratitude to President Paul Biya for his concern and tolerance towards religion in Cameroon, particularly Islam. The ceremony also featured the presentation of certificates of appreciation to some organisations that have made contributions to the Muslim Community.
