The Minister, engaged in a dialogue with the aggrieved drivers from 13th to 15th October, 2023, during which he listened to their concerns and agreed to forward them to the President. Some of the key issues discussed included the extension of the collective agreement for the transport sector, integration and reintegration of transport unions in committees and commissions, fair production of identification badges for drivers, involvement of driver’s unions in the evaluation of certificates of competence, updating of the joint MINT-MINAT decree on combating illegal road transport, rehabilitation of unions in prevention and road safety, and the elimination of irregularities in issuing and extending driving licenses.
