An agreement specifying Cameroon’s participation during the 2025 edition of the Hajj has been signed. The Minister of Territorial Administration, President of the Cameroon National Hajj Commission, Atanga Nji Paul, and the Saudi Arabian Minister of Hajj and Oumrah, Tawfiq Bin Fawzan al Rabiah, stipulate the modalities of participation in the Muslim pilgrimage to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina. This was during a meeting in Jeddah on January 13, 2024. The Saudi official congratulated Cameroon’s government for the organisation of the hajj for the past five years. Minister Atanga Nji was accompanied by the Cameroonian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Iya Tidjani, and the Consul General, Oumar Chari. The agreement covers modalities relating to logistics and transportation, the number of pilgrims, and financial engagements.
