On the sidelines of his weeklong working visit to the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Minister of Territorial Administration was received in audience this January 14, 2025 by Dr. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, the Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, an institution charged with ensuring the regularity and conformity of Islamic edicts.
For close to an hour, the two personalities discussed the importance of inter-religious dialogue and cohabitation and the dangers of religious fanaticism to peace and social cohesion. Dr. Koutoub Moustapha Sano urged Minister Atanga Nji Paul to transmit his institution’s gratitude to President Paul Biya for creating an enabling environment for Muslims to practice their faith peacefully and urged Muslims in Cameroon to contribute to the development of the country and help protect peace and unity.
