The Minister of Territorial Administration, Atanga Nji Paul, on October 8, 2025, has officially handed over 94 brand-new vehicles to administrative authorities during a ceremony held at the Yaoundé City Council. The vehicles, provided by the Head of State, President Paul Biya, are intended to ease the movement of Senior Divisional Officers (SDOs) and Divisional Officers (DOs), especially during this election period. Speaking at the event, Minister Atanga Nji thanked the Head of State for his continuous support in improving the working conditions of administrators. He said the new cars will help officials carry out their supervisory duties more effectively ahead of the upcoming presidential election. However, the minister cautioned beneficiaries to use the vehicles strictly for administrative purposes and to ensure proper maintenance. “You must take good care of these vehicles,” he said. “Keep them clean, service them regularly, and use them only for official work. These cars are state property and must be treated with discipline.” Minister Atanga Nji emphasised that acquiring such vehicles in the current global context is not easy and urged officials to value them as precious public assets. He added that a well-maintained vehicle reflects not only good management but also respect for the trust placed in them by the Head of State.
