The Minister of Territorial Administration, President of the National Hajj Commission, Atanga Nji Paul, has signed an agreement with the chief executive officer of Ethiopian Airlines, Mesfin Tasewon, on some security and safety standards pertaining to the transportation of Hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. This was on April 22, 2025, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. According to the agreement, about four thousand Hajj pilgrims from Cameroon would travel through Ethiopian Airlines, beginning on May 22. Both the Cameroonian and Ethiopian officials exchanged notes of gratitude for the collaboration between their two countries.
The Minister of Territorial Administration, Atanga Nji, was accompanied, among others, by the Ambassador Churchill Ewumbe Monono, the Cameroonian Ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union.
