Cameroon and India have enhanced their partnership as the Minister of Territorial Administration, Atanga Nji Paul, and the High Commissioner of India to Cameroon, Shri Vijay Khanduja, were signatories to the reception of 39 containers of 1000 tonnes of rice and some medication, offered to the government of Cameroon by India. The signing of the donation was done at the Sawa Hotel in Douala and the items were presented at the Douala seaport on June 23, 2025. Speaking as he presided the donation the High Commissioner of India to Cameroon said the humanitarian package and relief materials handed to Cameroon is an expression of solidarity and togetherness to strengthen the partnership between the government of Cameroon and the government of India.Minister Atanga Nji expressed thanks to the Indian Government for the huge consignment of rice and medication which would be handed to flood victims in the Far North Region, noting that the Indian Government recently donated agricultural equipment comprising heavy duty tucks to aid farmers in Cameroon. Present to witness the ceremony were the Governor of the Littoral Region, Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboua, the Senior Divisional Officer for Wouri, Mvogo Sylyac Marie, the D.O of Douala 1, Heungap Arnaud, officials from the Indian government and several other dignitaries.
