Lamido Cavayé Yéguié Djibril was raised to First Class Chief.

Minister Atanga Nji, on behalf of the Head of State, has raised Honorable Cavayé Yéguié Djibril, Lamido of Mada, to a first-class chief, and the Mada village has been officially upgraded to a first-class chietdom.Lamido Cavayé, who was hitherto the second-class traditional ruler of Mada, was promoted to a first-class chief on July 14, 2025, at the Paul Biya Glass House. He was honored for his dedicated service to the state,especially in promoting peace, living together, and respect for state institutions. Speaking while conferring the first-class title to the Lamido, Minister Atanga Nji said it is in recognition of his loyalty to the state and a mark of honor for his profound works at the helm of cultural and state institutions, which also strengthens cultural heritage.This was followed by a congratulatory statement from the president of the Council of Traditional Rulers, HRM Guy Tsala Ndzomo, who also paid respect to the newly crowned first-class chief. Honorable Cavayé Yéguié Djibril wholeheartedly accepted the title and thanked the Head of State while pledging to be more dedicated to the Republic for the promotion of social harmony, peace,and living together.
