MINAT Atanga Nji Paul is in Bamenda, North West Region, on Friday, October, 2025, to supervise the distribution of humanitarian aid to over 500 vulnerable persons across 34 subdivisions. The initiative is part of a nationwide relief effort aimed at supporting communities in need. The assistance package includes sleeping blankets and food items.The programme is coordinated locally by Mr Nchofon Mingoh, Head of the Humanitarian Assistance Plan for the North West Region. During the distribution, Minister Atanga Nji called on all stakeholders to demonstrate solidarity and responsibility. He emphasised the importance of supporting national development initiatives and contributing positively to the welfare of the country. The Mayor of Bamenda City Council, Paul Achobong, in his welcome address pledged full support for President Paul Biya on behalf of the people of Bamenda and called on everyone to turn out on Election Day coming October 12, 2025.The humanitarian distribution also reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring that vulnerable populations receive timely support and essential resources. Amongst the beneficiaries were motorbike riders who were called upon to shun the ghost town phenomenon in the region. Through efforts like these, authorities aim to strengthen community resilience and promote social stability across the North West Region.
