Minister Atanga Nji Paul has delivered the Head of State’s humanitarian assistance to flood victims in Mbéré Division in the Adamawa Region, which restored hope and succoured the population. This was on May 10, 2025, when the three subdivisions in the area benefitted from food and non-food items like beddings, soap, sardines and buckets. Some 100 families benefitted in the three subdivisions, representing families estimated at Meiganga 380, Djohong 20 and Ngaoui 80 persons. On behalf of the population, the Mayor of Meiganga, Aboubakar Kombo, channelled a message of thanks to the Head of State through MINAT, adding that President Biya is their candidate for the October 2025 elections. According to statistics from the Department of Civil Protection of MINAT, 500 families were hit by the floods in the three sub-divisions of Mbéré, including Meiganga, Djohong and Ngaoui. The floods occurred in the months of March and April 2025, which injured persons and destroyed homes and other public infrastructure.
