The Minister of Territorial Administration, Atanga Nj Paul, is in the camp of Gado-Badzere, the biggest camp in Garoua-Boulai in the Lom-et-Diérem Division of the East Region. In the Minister’s entourage is the Governor of the East Region, Grégoire Mongo, alongside the administrative authorities and security forces and staff of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees with the resident representative of the HCR, Yvette Muhimpundu. The HCR official, thanked the Cameroon government for their continuous hospitality to refugees and the greatvleadership skills of president Paul Biya. While launching the departure of the refugees, Minister Atanga Nji said the move is thanks to President Paul Biya, who has been relentlessly working for peace.There are 254 refugees returning From Garoua-Boulaï in Cameroon to Beloko in the Central African Republic while 269 refugees are returning from the Kentzou refugee camp in Cameroon to Berberati in the CAR making a total of 523 refugees returning today to the CAR.Earlier previewed were 600 refugees with 300 to travel from each of the two camps. However, some travel arrangements were cancelled due to health reasons, while others were pregnant women who could not take the trip. Meanwhile, a handful others had prepared to celebrate the Ramadan feast in Cameroon, thus they have rescheduled travel plans to avoid the inconvenience of planning the feast in a rush in thier country.
