MINAT extends condolence message from Presidential couple to the people of Bamenyam.

The Minister of Territorial Administration Atanga Nji Paul conveyed the message of condolence from the Presidential couple to the population of Bamenyam after the terrorist attacks last November 21, 2023. He was given on the spot information by local authorities and vigilante group on the terrorist act that caused the lives of 09 people at the market square. Minister Atanga Nji saluted the cooperation of the elite of the area for their prompt action of solidarity and synergy with the forces of law and order. They organised to give aid to the victims and affected population. Bamenyam shares boarder with other villages in the restive North West Region. Separatist fighters regularly cross the border to attack civilians and soldiers in Ngalim Sub Division. The killings took place at the village market square. Bamenyam located in Ngalim Sub Division, Bamboutous Division of the West Region, MINAT boss was accompanied by the region’s governor, Augustine Awa Fonka, administrative authorities, elite and forces of law and order. Witnesses told MINAT, the terrorists arrived at the market on board motorcycles and started shooting indiscriminately. Several people were injured and at least 09 died. Minat also made a stop at the ceremonial ground of Galim Sub Division, Bamboutous Division, and West Region. The Mayor presented the security situation in Galim which shares over 08 boundaries with villages in the North West Region.
