MINAT Heads Public Destruction of Illegal Drugs in Bafoussam

The Minister of Territorial Administration supervised the destruction of 30 tones of Indian hemp worth 500 million FCFA and several tonnes of fake medication worth 360 million FCFA. The illegal items were publicly burnt to ashes at a Hysacam dump site in Bafoussam lI on April 8, 2025.Minister Atanga Nji saluted the commitment of the governor, health and security officials in the fight against drug trafficking, which led to the detection of criminal networks, the seizure of these drugs and the evaluation of their risk. The minister noted that the items are harmful to health and the operation to destroy is aimed at deterring crime. The MINAT Boss insisted that anything that is illegal has to be destroyed, noting the dangerous link between drug consumption and crime.
