The Minister of Territorial Administration, Atanga Nji Paul, has applauded the 2025–2030 Strategic Plan of the Network of Election Management Bodies in Central Africa (ROGEAC) for organising a workshop aimed at adopting workable values that would advance democracy in elections. With the October 12 presidential election around the corner in Cameroon, the MINAT boss was invited to officially open a two-day workshop that aims to share experiences and adopt good practices in the management of elections. Taking the rostrum, MINAT presented government action in ensuring free and fair elections. He spoke of strong security measures and the provision of electoral materials in polling stations all over the 360 subdivisions of the national territory, which are aimed at guaranteeing an inclusive voter participation. ROGEAC President, Denis Kadima Kazadi, said participants at the workshop would review the present stakes with the vision of preserving the values of democracy for an improved future. At the opening of the workshop, ROGEAC was joined by its partners across Europe and Africa, who are all striving for inter-cooperation to augment leadership capacities and pool resources for a credible election. They include Elections Cameroon with the presence of the Chairman, Enow Abrams Egbe; the European Center for Electoral Support, represented by Fabio Bargiacchi; the Electoral Institute of Sustainable Development in Africa, represented by Baidessou Soukolgeu; the African Union, which was represented by its Ambassador, Calixte A.
